His Yoke Is Easy

Accompaniment track without flute:

This is an arrangement I have been working on over the past couple of days. The arrangement is for strings, piano, and alto flute.

I recently read Life Without Lack (Dallas Willard) and because of that book, Psalm 23 has deep, new meaning. This arrangement is an attempt to create the atmosphere of life without lack, life where the Lord is my shepherd, and therefore, I shall not want.

May listening soothe your soul.

The lyrics are:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me by quiet streams. He ever restores my soul.

His yoke is easy; His burden is light. I’ve found it so; I’ve found it so. He leadeth me by day and by night where living waters flow.

My soul crieth out restore me again, and give me the strength to take the narrow path of righteousness e’en for Thine own name’s sake.

His yoke is easy; His burden is light. I’ve found it so; I’ve found it so. He leadeth me by day and by night where living waters flow.

Yea, tho’ I should walk the valley of death, Yet why should I fear from ill? For Thou art with me, and Thy rod and staff, they comfort still.

His yoke is easy; His burden is light. I’ve found it so; I’ve found it so. He leadeth me by day and by night where living waters flow.
